What is the fabric texture like? For those who have dogs, how has the fabric held up with puppy toenails?
By Judy S Merlini: The fabric has been unaffected by toenails of two dogs one big, one not so big. The smaller dog needs help getting on the couch and paws at it a lot to get a lift. This faux leather couch is easy to take care and clean.

Would you say this is more of a brown or more of a tan color?
Judy S Merlini:I think you kind of see the color you like the best. Lighting also plays a part. I day light it looks more brown, with a lamp at each end it's a bit more tan. Lets call it a tanish brown couch.
Are the back cushions attached or loose? Are the legs removable?Are the round pillows removable?
Behind the cushion is a strong Velcro. The back cushions can be removable. By the way, the round pillows and the Legs also can be removable.
